How to add a size chart to your product pages

Open Size Table in the AlFinder dashboard, create a table with your measurements as columns and a row for each size, then assign it to the products it fits. Shoppers see a Size guide on those product pages and can switch the numbers between centimetres and inches.

Why a size table matters

"Which size fits me?" is the top question for clothes and shoes. A shopper who can't answer it may leave, order two sizes and return one, or pick the wrong size and send it back.

A size table answers that question on the product page, at the moment of choosing. Fewer wrong sizes means fewer returns, and fewer messages to your support asking for measurements.

How it works

A table has a name, an optional description, columns for your measurements, and a row for each size. Each column has a name and a unit, such as Chest in cm. Each row is a size, such as S, M, L or 38-40, with its numbers.

One table can be assigned to many products. On those product pages, shoppers tap Size guide and the table opens. They can switch between cm and inches, and the numbers convert for them, including ranges such as 96-100.

Examples by store type

  • Abayas: Length and Width columns, with rows for 52, 54, 56 and so on.
  • T-shirts: Chest and Length, with rows for S to XXL.
  • Shoes: a Foot length column, with a row for each shoe size.
  • Trousers: Waist, Hips and Length, with rows for each waist size.

Best practices and common mistakes

  • Write the unit as cm (or in). The cm and inches switch converts these units, so a unit written another way stays unconverted.
  • Make one table per fit, not one for the whole store. An oversized abaya and a fitted dress do not share measurements.
  • Use your own measurements of the actual product, so the table matches what arrives at the shopper's door.
  • Keep it readable. A table can hold up to 20 columns and 50 rows, but a few clear measurements help shoppers more than many.

How to set it up

  1. 1In the dashboard, open Size Table and click Create New Table.
  2. 2Enter a Table Name, such as Abaya Sizes, and an optional Description.
  3. 3Under Size Columns, use Add Column for each measurement and give it a name and a unit, such as Length in cm.
  4. 4Use Add Row for each size and fill in its numbers.
  5. 5Check the Size Table Preview, then click Create Table.
  6. 6Click Assign Products on the table, search for the products it fits, select them and save.
  7. 7Open one of those products in your store and tap Size guide to check the table.

Common questions

I can't find Size Table in my dashboard menu. Why?

Size Table appears in the menu once it is switched on for your store. If you don't see it, contact the AlFinder team and ask for it to be turned on.

Can I use one size table for many products?

Yes. Create the table once, then assign every product that shares the same fit. Updating the table later updates it on all of those products.

Do shoppers see sizes in centimetres or inches?

Both. The table shows the values you entered, and shoppers can switch between cm and inches. For the conversion to work, enter the unit as cm or in.

What sizes can I use for rows?

Any label your shoppers know, such as S, M and L, numeric sizes like 54 or 42, or ranges like 38-40.
